Hola chicas. Today I am bringing you my favourite blog posts from the past month. I usually find blogs through Twitter so unless I see some new content retweeted onto my timeline, I don’t generally see any fresh blogs which is a shame so I’ve been actively scrolling through hashtags and retweet accounts to find some new blogs and to spread some love in the blogging community so please have a wander through these blogs and share the love too.

Skincare Favourites: Face

Everyone talks about how important it is to have a good skincare routine. I always see people talking about how you should invest in your skin and buy quality products. I cannot afford such luxuries as of yet but there are a few products on my wishlist for when I win the lottery (post coming soon) so for now, I thought I’d share with you my current favourite skincare products ranging from the very affordable to the mid-high end products that have really amazed me.

skincare, skin care, skin, st ives, nip and fab, naturally radiant, superdrug, moa, facial oil, face cream, exfoliator, cleanser, bee-bio, face mask, face masque, bee venom,

Let’s start with the St. Ives invigorating face scrub. It’s my favourite exfoliator because it’s gentle but abrasive and I use a little everyday for a delicate skin refresher or sometimes I use a bit more for a more deep scrubbing (ie if I’ve been wearing makeup). It smells of apricots which is lovely and fresh – perfect for summer.

I’ve been really loving the Nip + Fab Dragon’s Blood cleansing pads the last few months. My sister actually gave me her tub as she never really used them and I loved them. They exfoliate, cleanse and hydrate with a lovely scent and just really make my skin feel so good.

The Superdrug Naturally Radiant hot cloth cleanser has been my favourite cleanser for some months now. It feels so luxurious on my skin and really gets deep into my pores to fully clean it out. I don’t use the muslin cloth that came with it because I personally prefer my face cloth but I use this every night without fail and it really leaves my skin feeling smooth and looking bright and fresh.

The Bee-Bio bee venom face masque and MOA facial oil are both products I received in the March Blogger Beauty Box and were both featured in my favourite products from the last 6 months of BBloggerBox too so of course they are going to feature in my facial skincare favourites! The face masque isn’t as thick as most but I use a thin layer 1-2 times a week for a little pampering with my evening skincare routine. It doesn’t tingle or make my skin look or feel swollen and its active manuka honey leaves your skin super soft with a very light and delicate scent. The ‘Aphrodite’ facial oil is by far my favourite facial oil. It smells like lychee – light and fresh and although it may seem counter-intuitive to use an oil in the summer but trust me when I say this is completely non-greasy and absorbs fully within an hour, leaving only silky smooth skin that carries through til morning.

The Witch daily primer I received in the April Blogger Beauty Box and also featured in my 6 months of favourites. A perfect complement to my summer skincare routine – it works great on its own as well as under a moisturiser. I’m usually always getting heat rash but using this has really helped to keep it under control in the heat we’ve had lately and it just keeps my skin feel cool and stops any pesky spots popping up.

That’s my summer skincare favourites for my face! I absolutely stand by these products and would highly recommend them to everyone. Let me know in the comments if you’ve tried any of these or what your favourite skincare products are! I’d love to hear your opinions and see your recommendations.

6 months of #BBloggerBox – Favourite Products

I’ve now received 6 consecutive Blogger Beauty Boxes over the last 6 months and I decided to review the boxes and let you guys know what my favourite products from each box is. So let’s start back at the beginning…

November’s Blogger Beauty Box was my first beauty box and it was a bit of a hit or miss with the products. Mostly everyday essentials such as Blanx toothpaste and Biosen deodorant with a decorative soap (cake shape). My favourite item in November’s box was the Burt’s Bees lip gloss in Autumn Haze (203). It’s the perfect summer shimmer.

December’s box had extra goodies with a festive/treat yo’self theme with soothing body butter, pampering body oil and snowflake fake nails. My favourite product from the December box was the Dusty Girls mascara in Night Fall. This makes my lashes extra dark and combined with my Boots own-brand lash curlers, it’s a perfect duo.

The January #BBloggerBox wasn’t the best but due to a brand pulling out at the last minute, it was still a pretty good box. Some products include a MUA lip liner, MooGoo eye serum and Anubis face cream. My favourite item, or should I say items were the two mini I Love… shower gels in Mango & Papaya and Strawberry & Blackberry. These shower gel and bath cremes came in so handy when my papa was in the hospital – I gave him one to keep in his shower bag and I kept the other and used it for a relaxing bubble bath when in Edinburgh with Steven (while he went for a pre-dinner nap and I got stuck in the bath shouting for help through his loud snoring…)

In February’s box, there was a good mix of beauty and skincare products. From bespoke lip treats from Puriskin to Madame La La fake tan and false lashes to DHC face masks. It was a very ‘girls night out’ kit and my favourite product was the Merumaya Bi-Phase Plus Eye Makeup Remover. It works with very little effort to remove waterproof mascara and liquid liner. I double coat my lashes and love my Soap & Glory Supercat eye liner and this removes it so easily and leaves my eye area feeling normal, rather than looking red and feeling puffy from scrubbing.

The March Blogger Beauty Box is one of my absolute favourite boxes so far and I was torn between two products for this post. The March box came with 3 samples and 4 full size products, including a Faust’s potions kit and the Perfect Skin Concentrate from SASS. My second favourite product in the March box was the Bee-Bio Bee Venom and Manuka Honey Face Masque which is just a fantastic light-weight face masque and keeps your skin super clean and radiant. My top product is the MOA Aphrodite facial oil which has become my go-to bedtime skincare product. I just love the smell of it (smells like lychee to me) and the fact it’s so fast-absorbing and non-greasy is totally worth the price tag and I will be purchasing this when my current one runs out.

And last but not least is the April #BBloggerBox which had some really great products including TOTM tampons, 1001 Remedies anti-wrinkle cream and a MakeUp Geek blush pan. My favourite product from the latest box is the Witch daily primer and clearing serum which has been a life-saver in this heatwave! It’s so lightweight and feels super fresh on your skin and it dried quick too so bonus.

Those are my favourite products from the last 6 month’s of Blogger Beauty Boxes. I’m looking forward to getting the May box and seeing what goodies are in there. Here’s to next 6 months!

Happy New Year: 2016 Goals

5 Things I Learned When I Got A New Laptop

How NOT To Keep Your New Year Resolutions

Superdrug Skincare Haul

Rimmel London Lipstick – Heather Shimmer

OOTD // Spring Florals

Going in the hot tub with Steven – Mum got a Lay-Z Spa for Christmas and on New Years Day, Steven and I went and chilled in it for a bit. I discovered how short I really am because he had to put his feet under my bum to keep my head out of the bubbles and it was so cold when we got out that we had to take our swimming gear off and wrap in a towel to go back in the house (Steven held up my towel while I shivered trying to get warm by the heater haha).

Getting a new laptop – Okay so I technically got my new laptop on December 29th but I never got to use it properly until this month and I’m so happy with it. It makes everything so much easier – blogging, emails, netflix.

Pies! Granny and Papa went to two different bakeries (they’re across the road from each other but still) and bought my favourite pie from each. A meat and potato pie and a macaroni pie :) :) It made me so happy and I thoroughly enjoyed devouring those oh-so-delicious pies.

Simple Eye Roll-on // Soothing Eye Balm – These have been a lovely addition to my skincare routine. It’s only been two weeks and I’m already noticing a difference in my under eye area, I’m genuinely gobsmacked!

Neutrogena Norwegian Formula body lotion – I bought this because it was £2 and to be honest, the adverts made me think it would be alright. And it is. It’s got a light and fresh fragrance but has a creamy consistency (for normal to dry skin) and it’s kept my skin hydrated while out in the freezing cold.

Bandit is not a human but he has been my favourite this month. It’s been an emotional month (for various reasons) but every time I’ve sat in the bathroom and cried, Bandit has come to cheer me up.
